There have been some issues this spring with services being down, but CPU hears you! Over the spring, we’ve been working on setting up a new infrastructure called OKD. In short, it’s based on Kubernetes, which is a system for running and managing many services on a server, and it’s used by many large companies. The goal is to make it easier for us to create and maintain services like the website, but also to achieve better uptime. As we can see in the image, the website already has about 50 ms faster response time just from the switch!
If this sounds exciting, CPU would love to have your help! Just show up at any CPU-evening. You can learn about everything from web development to Linux and networking-no previous experience expected!
